OK, Easter is over. The houseguests have departed. I'm digging out from unanswered emails and voicemails and converting the "guest room" back into my "home office."
On the stove I am cooking a pot of split pea soup. In the fridge there is a bowl of ham salad. I am officially hammed out! But when one drops $57 on half of a Honeybaked Ham, one wants to make use of all the leftovers.
I already pawned some off on Kristin, made the in-laws take ham sandwiches for the drive back to Rochester, fed the kids ham for two days straight. Now what?
Children in the world are starving and I'm tossing the remains and calling it another holiday.
