Hi Erin and Kristin,
Love, love the podcast! Listen to your show while I'm at work. I'm a full-time web designer and have a 13 month old daughter Ashley. My husband and I would like to have another child in the future but are unsure if it is better to have children 2 years apart, 3 years or more? Any opions on this? Keep up the great work!! You gals rock!

Hi Erin and Kristin-
I've been wanting to email you for a while but couldn't quite figure out how to.... guess I'm not the most tech-savvy mom out there.
I have an eight month old daughter, Charlotte (Charlie)and I live in Canada, blissful land of the twelve month maternity/parental leave. My spouse, Mike, and I have decided to share the time so I am now a full-time working mom while Mike (a criminal defense lawyer) stays home with Charlie for three months.
The primary purpose of this post is to tell you how much I've enjoyed listening to the podcast since the birth of my daughter. While I was home on maternity leave, silently dreading the return to work (also as a lawyer), your podcast got me psyched for the challenge both of work and of raising my child.
Also, I wanted to share a link to our blog, which Mike has been keeping since Charlie was born. I never imagined that he would be the "daddy blogger" type but he has done such a great job at documenting her first year of life with humour and insight. I thought you'd appreciate his take on parenting so I wanted to send you the link: http://little-pickle.blogspot.com
Cheers and keep up the great work with the podcast.

Hi Erin and Kristen
I'm Kiran (25 m) from India. I'm neither a mom nor a listener of your podcast. But I just wanted to give a technical info on Kristin's iPod shuffle because yesterday I was listening to one of your podcast (MM69) and Kristin said there is no option to lock the keypad of the iPod shuffle. Actually, there is a way to lock the keypad on the iPod shuffle and for that you have to press and hold the center button (i.e., play/pause) for 2 or 3 seconds or may be more, which makes the iPod shuffle status light blink 1 green & 3 orange lights. If you wanna unlock the iPod shuffle then you have to press and hold the same center button and which makes the iPod shuffle blink 1 orange & 3 green lights. And for more info on this, check out this website http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304510
Thank ya'all

I wanted to comment about your current bus situation and the reason why it's taking so long for seat belts to be added to buses. As I write, my husband is at work designing and testing seat belt pulls for school buses. Designing a seat belt that will work for 5 year olds up to 18 year old is challenging. It's only been in the last few years that the designs have been acceptable. And they are very expensive. The cost of retrofitting all buses to add seatbelts is so high, that you might as well replace the bus. It is not financially possible for school buses to replace their entire fleet of buses. Phasing in buses with seat belts is a option being considered, but then you get concerned parents insisting that their child rides the bus with seat belts. How do you choose which route gets the seat belts and which ones don't. So, school districts are hesitant to do the phase in thing. It's not that the school bus industry isn't working on it or could care less, but the issue is so much more complicated than it seems at first glance and what the media makes it out to be. There are no easy anwers. Thanks for bringing up the issue. I love listening to your show!
