Having produced more than 100 episodes, we've had the pleasure of interviewing some amazing women—many of them moms—including Elizabeth Edwards, wife of presidential candidate John Edwards; comedienne Dena Blizzard; authors Jane Porter, Esther Perel, Cate Colburn Smith, Darci Klein, Trisha Ashworth and Amy Nobile, Caitlin Friedman, Abigail Jones, and Meredith O'Brien; travel experts Tracy Gallagher and Anne McAlpin; the Meal Makeover Moms Liz and Janice, cooking expert Kathy Maister; pediatrician Dr. Jennifer Trachtenberg; OB/GYN Dr. Hope Riciotti; facial plastic surgeon Dr. Min Ahn, and perhaps our biggest get: the cast of The New Adventures of Old Christine featuring our favorite actress, Julia Louis-Dreyfus!
Check our show archives to hear all of the back episodes. Episodes one through 10 remain buried deep in the Manic Mommies vault for reasons that can't ever be revealed!
Comments
The show with Esther Perel was amazing. Her comments about having all your "touching: needs satisfied by the end of the day reminded me of the days when the boys were small.
I remember when I was nursing my kids and when they were little, getting to the end of the day and really feeling like I had had enough people touching me all day, and needing some alone time more than anything. More touching was almost painful and annoying.
My husband and I started taking some short holidays away from the kids, and this helped- a tradition of having alone time, and knowing each other, remembering how much I like him as a person- this is so important. So many parents feel guilty about those adult only weekends, but I think they are a vital part of keeping a marriage happy and together.
