I have been out of the office for the last 4 out of 6 work days. Because I was attending meetings and other client-related events, I was working but not "at work" to get any real work done. So now I am faced with a desk covered in paper, an e-mail account full of messages and a to-do list that is rapidly becoming a mile long.
The fact is I love my clients and I love going to visit them. I thrive on the meetings and the collaboration. But right now all I want to do is shut the door, turn off the phone and spend the next 72 hours clearing out the backlog. To paraphrase Dr. Suess in the book I Am Not Going To Get Up Today!
