When OJ was just a juice
Thursday, September 20, 2007

I just have one thing to say this morning...

I. Do. Not. Care. About. O. J. Simpson.

I do not care about what he did or did not do in some hotel room in Las Vegas.

I do not care whether or not the sports memorabilia (and, for the record, let's call that what it really is - old pictures and other crap that some wife and mother has to dust) was stolen or not stolen.

I don't care about his "golfing buddies" and whether or not he was set up.

I don't want to know about his life, his kids or his girlfriend (who looks suspiciously like Nicole) or his flight back to Florida (really? We're following him on the plane?? A reporter on GMA actually said "on the plane he fiddled with his earphones so he could watch Ocean's 13." Gasp!! Please, oh please, tell me. How many times did he go to the bathroom?? I must know!).

What I do want to know, as I watch Good Morning America and struggle to get myself ready for work, is the weather for the day, what the effect of the latest Feds Fund rate drop may be, how things are going in Iraq.... helll, I'd rather listen to ANOTHER speech from a presidential candidate than find out more about OJ's latest trip to Vegas.

I have 20 - 30 minutes each morning when I can catch up on the news, eat breakfast, pack lunches and get out the door. So let me say this once again, so it's very clear...

I. Do. Not. Care. About. O. J. Simpson.

So please, please, please, PLEASE - stop wasting my time and let me enjoy OJ the good old fashioned way. As a delicious and nutritious drink I can consume while watching the news.
