OMG! Thank you so much for your story about the dinner, husband and lasagna rolls. I listened on Thursday (2/28) and I JUST had a similar issue on Wednesday night so your story made me smile. I was making spaghetti but did not put meat into the sauce. So while on the phone with DH I told him what was for dinner and immediately he asked if I wanted him to pick up bread. So my question to him was why do you need bread when we don't have a main dish with meat? We already have carbs (pasta). OHHHHH, I wanted to go to that "snarky" place. But I told him, if you want the bread then go ahead and pick it up but you'll be the only one eating it. Anyway, thanks for sharing. It validates that we are not the only family in the world w/food problems. :-)

I just listened to your podcast on Real Simple Money and I think it is great. But I thought of a few things. I was able to see a financial planner for free. Of course they want you to sign up for their program and give them names of people you know. But I did neither and they gave me everything that they prepared for me, ie if I want to retire at X age with whatever, how much I should put away each month into my 401k or my daughter's college savings. Plus if you go to AmericanFunds.com, it will automatically calculate how much it would cost for X college when say little Andre is ready to go. Another little tip for getting better gas mileage. My dad says that if you keep the air pressure in your tires where it should be you get better mileage. All in all, I think that your podcast was great....as usual. I always find you both so entertaining and amusing. I look forward to what you both come up with in the future. P.S. I am debating on handing over my finances to my fiance....former financial planner and letting him make my debt disappear (well with my money). We will see about that one. Thanks again for making me laugh after a long day !!!

Hey, ladies! Thanks so much for this interview with Lesley Alderman. I actually bought Real Simple this month just to read the article on money worries you discussed, so it was fantastic to hear a bit more about the topic. Also, congrats on the gig blogging the techno for Real Simple magazine. SWEET! And, hey... feel free to shout-out to my Video Podcast O' Technogeekery at TechnoGeekery.com. It's two parts techno tips for newbies, and one part me making a complete fool of myself--on camera!--for your enjoyment. Win-win! Hey, if me singing songs about how best to break up with Blogger is wrong, then baby, who wants to be right? Eh? I'm just saying. Keep the podcasts coming! You gals rock. Cheers, Chassy Cat (desperateworkingmomma.com and technogeekery.com).
