Kristin and I had a GREAT time at the BlogHer Business conference in NYC yesterday. I so wish we could have stayed overnight and attended the rest of the sessions today.
But Friday is my "day off." It's the day I spend with my 3.5-year-old son and volunteer in my other son's kindergarten classroom. It's also the day I swap child care duties with the dad across the street. He watches B while I go to kindergarten and then I watch his daughter for a couple hours after lunch.
Hmmm, as I type out my plans for the day ahead I realize that being in NYC sounds even more appealing.
If you want to read about our case study presentation at BlogHer yesterday, it's here. Although it's worth noting that Natalie Johnson was speaking for GM. Not Jill as is indicated in this abbreviated transcript.
I have to say I like this blogger's account of our presentation because she captured all the key points! I actually met Susan afterwards in line for the ladies room—isn't that where all the great networking happens?
Kristin and I also visited the offices of Real Simple, where we received a tour from PR gal Natasha and met briefly with deputy editor Lesley Alderman and online community manager Melissa Parrish. Kristin will post the photos later I'm sure. Let's just say I was loving every minute of it!
It was a whirlwind day, waking at 5:30am, taking the Amtrak down and back, and flopping into bed next to my snoring husband at 11:30pm. We met some great people at the conference and we're really looking forward to participating in Method's upcoming Detox Boston program (more to come on that).
