Last week I wrote a post about using Bento, a new Mac database to organize home, life and work for our Real Simple blog Simply Stated.
Today, the post has been excerpted and placed on the Apple home page.
I never thought the post would be read by Apple fans everywhere. This makes me feel very self conscious because compared to most avid Apple users, I am a novice. Sure, I've been using Macs for years, but I am certainly no expert. I'm just like most other working moms, trying to do a million things with little time, so I need a computer that is instinctive, nice to look at, and speaks my language.
Difference is, I am not afraid to try to learn how my dreamy MacBook Pro can improve my home and work lives. I've had a lot of fun trying to come up with new topics for our technology blog on RealSimple.com. Sometimes, though, it's hard to write about tech in a way that appeals to women who may be feeling intimidated by technology, gadgets and all the geek speak that goes with them.
Just today I got an email from a colleague that said:
"Erin, what is RSS?"
Come to think of it, I should direct her to the post Kristin wrote on that.
