SnackTime with the Barenaked Ladies

MM 118: Snack time with the Barenaked LadiesIn this episode, the Manic Mommies chat with Jim, Steven and Kevin from the Barenaked Ladies who released their first children's CD this week, SnackTime. Then we turn the tables on Mother's Day and celebrate the not-so-happy stuff about motherhood and our listeners weigh in. Seems none of us likes bodily fluids, a loss of dignity, or those mean, perfect mommies.

Congrats to listener Adena who will receive copies of Jane Porter's Odd Mom Out and Mrs. Perfect.

I was listening to this week's podcast while driving to the grocery store (alone). You were talking about how you hated dealing with bodily fluids, especially at night and then talking about Brenden's bloody noses. I can relate because my oldest has bloody nose issues. I went to wipe my nose and I had a nose bleed! I have not had problems with bloody noses since Jimmy Carter was president.
I pulled into the parking lot, stopped my car and put my seat back, listened to your show and waited for it to pass. So in the end, it was not a total loss, it gave me an excuse to lounge in my van and relax.
As soon as I came home, I went to iTunes and bought Snack Time. I love allergy. I almost lost it while I was in line at the store and you played it.
    Thanks for all you do,
    Michelle

I so agree about the book "I will love you forever"! Someone gave me that book as a gift when I had my baby and I think it is awful. I read it once and refuse to read it again, but feel too bad to throw it away. It's just weird and disturbing, not a bedtime story at any age!

HI! Loved this show! So jealous that you got to meet them. I immediately went to itunes to download the music. I especially like Allergies as well because we have an abudance of them at my house (my daughter: tree nuts, peanuts, soy, every animal and tree on the planet and me: wheat and dairy!) How cool are you two? So great to hear you each week!
